Microsoft Excel Training
Updated: 30 June 2015
I have been training Microsoft Excel since Excel 5 in the first commercially available version of Microsoft Office in 1995. So it's fair to say that I have quite a lot of experience in Excel training. I have worked with business users, university students and individuals, and train all levels from new users to advanced level and VBA programming. Whatever your requirements I can deliver exactly what you need with the highest quality Excel training that you will benefit from and enjoy.
Most training companies offer "out-of-the-box" training courses with the usual Intro, Intermediate and Advanced levels and are unable to tailor their training to a client's individual needs. My years of experience working in business, commerce and research give me a unique perspective on what Excel users really need and I tailor my training courses accordingly.
Take a look at my course descriptions and you will see that you can select a range of topics that will exactly suit your needs. If you aren't sure what you want then talk to me and I'll help you decide what is best for you.
All my courses are suitable for users at all levels of experience. Unlike most training companies, I understand that business users don't all start at the Intro level and slowly work their way up to advanced topics. Most users have a specific job to do and need to know how to use the appropriate tools regardless of what "level" they happen to fall into. I guarantee that, after receiving training from me, you will understand the topics chosen and be able to confidently put them into practice.
The training takes place at your own premises or, if you prefer, you can hire a conference room at a hotel or other venue. This keeps my costs down and allows you to afford more training. All you need to provide is a suitable training environment, such as a meeting room, equipped if possible with a projector or large display screen. Each attendee should have a computer to work on - a laptop or notebook is most convenient. A whiteboard or flipchart is also useful but not essential.
You can choose to have the training at a time to suit you. Normally a whole-day course runs from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm with short breaks in the morning and afternoon, and a midday break for lunch. Short courses last a half-day and can be in the morning, typically 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, or in the afternoon, typically 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm with a short break half-way through.
I charge the same amount for any number of delegates. I recommend a maximum group size of 8 but if you want more that's fine. Since you are providing the facilities you can have as many delegates as you want as long as you can accommodate them. If you want all your delegates to receive course notes I make a small extra charge for these only if the number of delegates exceeds 8 (for up to 8 delegates course notes are supplied at no extra cost).
The cost of a whole-day course is £425 GBP (no VAT). A half-day course costs £275 GBP (no VAT). You can save money by booking two half-day courses on the same day, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, and pay just the whole-day price, a saving of £150!
There are no hidden extras. I am based in London, England, but I travel far and wide to deliver my training. If you require training to take place a long distance from my base (meaning beyond London and the Home Counties) so that I incur significant travel and accommodation expenses, I may have to pass these charges on to you. My clients, particularly those overseas, my find it more convenient to arrange travel and accommodation with their usual suppliers on my behalf. If you are not sure whether any of this applies to you then speak to me and I will let you know.
If you are ready to book some training or just want to talk about your requirements, you can contact me by email or telephone. Some people think I am a large training company but it's just me (yes, that's me at the top of the page) so remember, if you phone I might not be available to speak right away so please leave a message on my voicemail and I will call you back as soon as I can. Otherwise send me an email with your contact details and I will contact you as soon as I am free. If you are not in the United Kingdom please consider that I might not be in the same time zone as you! Here are my contact details:

Telephone (Non-UK): +44 (0) 7910 688968 Time Zone: UTC+0:00
Short Courses in Microsoft Excel
Aimed primarily at business users, these half-day courses each focus on a specific area of expertise in Microsoft Excel. They apply to all current versions of Excel (2007, 2010 and 2013). If you are still using Excel 2003 (or earlier!) I can still help you although, owing to differences between versions, the content might vary a little.
Short courses are popular with business users because in the busy business environment people are away from their desks for only a short time. It also makes it easier to get training on exactly what you need and if you can spare a whole day you can save money by booking two different half-day courses and paying only the whole-day price.
The following short courses are currently available. More courses will be added to the list. If you can't see what you need, contact me and I will create a tailored course to suit your exact requirements. Click on the name of the course in the list below to see details of the course content.
